Riverside Networks Computer Sciences Academy Developer News of New Project Releases and more. People Power To Fight and Address Spam, Phishing, Fraud and Importantly Child Abuse.
PB Deck Chair Art

Welcome to another edition of our News wire and many more to come hopefully subject to health. In digging out all my past articles and content dating back to 1994. So bear with me and I will upload them as soon as they are completed and updated, in relation to our software sponsors 'Who are Great', I thought I better get that one in. Imagescape project will hold all by creative art, images, icons,  buttons, banners and ani's.

What's New and Cool:

So what's new and cool happening on the web? Launch set for early November no specific date has been fixed as yet.

The new portals are for the USA and International users and the UK with local regional portals for every home county initially. It has taken two years to really establish what people want from the web for both business and home user.

It is apparent that multimedia is gathering substantial momentum, so I have decided to bring back online the original classic 'Live Online' first launched back in 1996 as one of the first rich media content providers and creative web design houses for which I am guilty of founding. The service will cover all your favourite radio stations and streams at the touch of a button. Please sign up to our classic In-Box Direct for Updates and breaking News.

RNCSA Web Community Web Site News:

Well first things first, nothing had been happening for a long time in the publishing side due to health. I have had to take things a little easy and now signed off with the Quacks for a year, so it gives me the time to slowly develop the new projects and web community with my free time in a voluntary capacity.

To further help contribute to the World Wide Web, for the greater good. However, in the event of a melt down, or real balls buster. I may be available to advise in a consultancy capacity.

Developers Need To Apply People Power Against ISP's and Web Hosting Organizations:

In the news all the time these day's and now on the Major Broadcasting Networks for television are publishing news scores of phishing, spam and abuse.

Internet Watch Foundation Screenshot

We need to address this problem guy's and Gal's for all our sakes. I am no prude and do not believe in the banning of adult content material, but ISP's and Web hosting companies have got to start

taking this junk down and not denying responsibility.

If we turn a blind eye we all have blood on our hands, especially regarding child abuse that prompted me to build Mozilla Editor with the support of David and the team at the Mozilla Development Foundation (MozDev).

ISP's and Hosting Companies who say they cannot monitor, or not aware of hostile content, very sadly can only be described as liars.

When I was Head of Marketing and Communications as Director at Satellite and Cable for Europe I knew of every sale and every enquiry.

I made it my business to check content and files being uploaded to our Server Network. That spanned Europe, Asia and the United States.

You can identify traffic volume through bandwidth usage, details of customer records hosting applications, identifying areas for concern and flag up with staff. If then in the eventuality of finding offensive material and child abuse disgusting low life offences, report it to the state police.

Set up in your white and black server lists the offenders emails and details, even IP addresses and even name servers that will collapse the rest of their services.

ICRA Screenshot

I am troubled by this child abuse and there is not a day goes past when I do not think of it.

Perhaps the only way is for all us to collectively contribute by people power, exchanging

lists of identified offenders and to update black and white servers that way. Why not find out by contacting the service provider who you intend to use, before you place your order.

Developers and webmasters before purchasing can dig around and  run a few trace routes to see who are hosting these services, but be careful not to innocently commit an offence yourself by accessing the site. It would take a lot of explaining with the spouse.

Let's name and shame the ISP's, by publishing the Company names and not use them. Also, volunteer your expertise and help to the police. If they turn down your offer at the local Police station. Take the matter up with the chief constable, I promise you, that your gesture of goodwill, will be greatly welcomed and appreciated. You can also Report offenders to the Internet Watch Foundation who take up the challenge.

The Police need your help, they are struggling with support, manpower and technology in relation to your skills and vast intellect.

RNCSA and MozDev Project News, Announcements and Updates!

Project Owners Press Releases and Announcements To The World Wide Web.  Are always welcome!

MozDev Mozeditor Project Screenshot

Mozilla Editor Project (Mozeditor)News:
Plans are a foot in October to start uploading content to the Mozeditor Project for the greater good of the web, with

certificates RDF and XML labelling frameworks for all search engines to identify true genuine businesses and personal web sites, that are not phishing, passing off, spamming, theft and abuse.

Search engines will be able to purchase a license, agreeing to the terms of use on a financial arrangement. Whereby the Foundation, will also receive funding from the license, in the form of a donation. Home and business webmasters, will be able to join the Mozeditor programme for free. For further updates, developers can subscribe to the Mozeditor News Group Here.

The programme will be structured where there are four membership levels. Free membership will be available to business and personal web community enrolment members. So the project can achieve a successful outcome and be embraced keenly, in the true spirit of the web, for the social advancement and development in on-line communications.

The intellectual property of all aspects of the project is in hand and my thoughts are appointing Jordans International as Legal representatives.

Further announcements will be made in forthcoming Newsletters. Members subscribed to our new News Group, can receive alerts and further news of developments and readers.

Thank  you!

A number of months ago the World Wide Web Consortium planned to update and refurbish their Official web site, which in no short terms, will be a mammoth task.

The work has started in earnest, around the web site, and each day I see other changes. The CSS and HTML validation programmes pages and other related content, is easier to navigate and pleasing to the eye.

New validation buttons and icons are also being made available for web community developers and webmasters to use if their web pages pass examination.

Imagescape Project:

In the Imagescape project where I am planning to upload all my artwork for prosperity, as in time web creators will get recognition, as a modern day Art form.

I plan to place new additional new banners, buttons and icons for the World Wide Web Consortium as donation.

Noble causes, institutions and organization are welcome to contact me if they are in need of images, buttons, icons and banners if it helps to promote projects for the good of the web and social development through communication, this brief obviously covers animal welfare, endangered species and the preservation of our planet. Where I will be pleased to donate my time free.

Please find below for greater functionality both Mozilla and Netscape plug-ins, add-ons, themes, extensions and technical support pages from the official web sites. I have complied this area, as like many it is frustrating sometimes when you need to re-install or update and cannot remember the address and have to dig around on the web to find the page again. Fire Fox Reaches A Milestone With Over 400 Million Downloads!

In the mid to late 90's it was cool as a web designer, developer, webmaster or user to download Mozilla browser. It was very much a statement and status symbol to rebel against the big corporate sledge hammer of Microsoft and Internet Explorer at the time. But over the years, like a tree branching out and growing fully fledged leaves, we now see and enjoy the buds and bloom. Mozilla Foundations Fire Fox browser is now a by word in virtually every household. With collective development skills the browser grows stronger and better by the day. Versions for Linux, Windows and Mac can be enjoyed by all. It is a success story of some note and worth shouting about to the world and congratulations in order to all involved as Fire Fox celebrates over 400 million downloads. If you  are new to the web and just starting out, one of the best decisions to make is switch to Fire Fox as your default browser. It's like jumping into a Ferrari without the technical hicks, from a Citroen CV (I was going to say Ford Escort but didn't fancy a law suit). Good Luck! The Mystery Of The Mug And The Mouse Mat! - The continued saga episode four.

Netscape Mug

A couple of year's ago, sad as I am. I thought to myself I'll buy a few of those great mugs in

the Netscape store and at the same time a few mouse mats to really demonstrate how truly insane I am. But alas, the Netscape store appears to be no more? So putting on my Sherlock hat, pipe in my hand and a magnifying glass in the other. I went in search of the goods. Yes I did, before  you say it! I went on Ebay (you can buy anything on there, even a Country) but alas, all my dreams and hopes were dashed. So this is an appeal and SOS to all Netscape lovers. Do we know where all the stock has gone? I would genuinely like to hear back from anyone who knows where you can buy the items or locate the old stock. Thanks! - October Issue: The continuing saga of 'The Mug And The Mouse Mat' and a picture of the 'Mouse Mat' a real saucy little number!

Back Issues:

This Month's Issue and Augusts will be in the Back Issue archives section. I am going to try and go through all my old files regarding content and images of past work and Newsletters, when I can find the time. Then start to include and rebuild the issues, but bear with me it will be a mammoth task going back through to 1994. Regards Alastair.
